Remembering 9/11 with Ryan Adams

"New York, New York" was the first track on Adams' second solo album, Gold. The cover, produced weeks before the 9/11 attacks and the Sept. 18th release of the album, featured a picture of Adams in front of an upside-down American flag. A flag flown in such a manner is a symbol of distress.

The fifth song on Gold: "The Rescue Blues."
